Feature Films
In an industry plagued by egos and aberrations, Ande’s pleasant and accommodating nature is a breath of fresh air. His technical skill, diligence and commitment to his craft was a great asset to our production.
Gerard Johnstone, Director, Kitchen Sink Films Ltd, ‘Housebound’, Feature Film
Not only was his work exemplary, with his remarkable skill in recording dialog and sound saving us hours in post-production, but his non stop enthusiasm and general good-spiritedness was an inspiration to all of us on set. I consider myself extremely lucky to have worked with Mr. Schurr, and I hope to do it again someday soon.
Ron Oliver, Director (LA), Regent Entertainment, ‘Kiss Me Deadly’, Feature Film
Ande was from the moment I met him the most personable and energetic sound recordist I had ever worked with. He offered exactly the support I require on set from sound, focused on whatever we were shooting and specific in his requests and needs. Making me aware of his requirements without slowing down the process or compromising the sound. I would happily work with Ande anytime.

Documentaries
Ande Schurr is one of the best sound men I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. He joined our 3-person Discovery Channel crew for a whirlwind three-week road trip through New Zealand. Technically he’s top notch and personally he’s up for any challenge thrown his way – even if it means thrashing through gnarly bush for 12 kms trying to track down one of the country’s rare Kiwi birds. It so refreshing to work with someone who is totally committed to being the best possible. I highly recommend him.

I had the pleasure of working with Ande Schurr on several demanding projects and I have no hesitation in putting him forward as a Sound Recordist. His energy, enthusiasm and professionalism are a match for the best in the industry. Dare you to try him and try prove me wrong!
Producer Anzak Tindall, Joyride Films, Auckland, New Zealand
We had the pleasure of working with Ande on this recent ALAC campaign. Non-typical in the commercial arena, the job asked for wall to wall dialogue. Location choices, film approach and schedule meant that Ande had a very tough job delivering such excellent material. The commercials success relies on believable performance, and this performance is very well recorded indeed. Thanks Ande.

Short Films
Ande did a fabulous job of sound recording on Katie Wolfe’s short film “Redemption”. The team doing the post at NBC/Universal in LA were incredibly appreciative.
